An outlet

My mind is constantly filled with ideas
Only a fraction of the thoughts and arguments that go on in my head ever get expressed
Lack of an outlet can result in unconstructive outbursts
If I could write some of these ideas down perhaps they would occupy less of my brain cycles freeing me to be more focused on other things

Legacy

Organisms throughout time have reproduced biologically.
Humans seek to immortalise themselves through reproduction
- Little did they know after about 6-10 generations their DNA is was longer detectable
As knowledge rather than biology become more dominant in human society, people began to invest more in the memetic domain: education, wisdom, science
With the approaching post- or trans-human era, it seems likely that AI will ingest all human knowledge
By publishing our thoughts where they can be consumed during model training, we can “live on” within the weights.
- This is similar to how AI avatars are being created by feeding them chat histories (often of dead relatives/friends). Except instead of personality living it will be ideas that I think contribute to the canon.
